THE POP FIX Exclusive: We Couldn’t Read Her Poker Face

UPDATE: As predicted, Lady Gaga did not win for her Grammy nomination. Best Dance Recording went to Daft Punk with “Harder Better Faster Stronger.” Sorry Ga…next year!

Yesterday, THEPOPFIX reporters were out at Akon’s pre-Grammy party at 944 Magazine headquarters interviewing celebrities in the faint hope of asking Lady Gaga what she does with her “disco stick.”

We couldn't read her poker face, but we can see a little something hanging from her vajay.

We couldn't read her poker face, but we can see a little something hanging from her vajay.

We stood there in line, myself,  Erin Darling and Celeste Perez, standing with our cameras, mics, and DSLR in tow in a small room standing elbow to elbow with some sweaty old paparazzi (one who wanted really badly to take our pics) the girls wearing painful three-inch stilettos, myself sporting some unkempt hair, waiting patiently by interviewing celebrities like Eva Marcille (of America’s Next Top Model fame)  Colby O’Donis, Adrienne Bailon, and being shafted by the Kardashians, while failing to interview the host, Akon, himself. This is the sacrifice we made while waiting extremely patiently for Lady Gaga, who was promised to be in attendance.

But the girl never showed up.

We waited, and waited some more. And after about an hour and a half, blisters forming at our feet, stomachs grumbling as loudly as illegal immigrants who just crossed the border, the PR finally kicked us out and told us we had to leave.

She wasn’t coming.

“But where’s Gaga?” I demanded, almost like a 5-year-old child asking why the tooth fairy never came, or like a 35-year-old on Celebrity Rehab whose syringes were taken away.

“Last minute she decided not to come to the states from London,” a rep told us brusquely.

What do you mean she didn’t want to come to the States? You mean, she didn’t want to accept her Grammy…wait a second here. This means that, yeah, she’s not winning, right?

So we can unforgivingly conclude that Lady Gaga wasn’t going to win a Grammy today, right?

That’s right folks, you heard it straight from the grapevine (er…her rep)–Lady Gaga is not coming to the States meaning, she’s not winning a Grammy.
Hey, we might be wrong, but why else would a Grammy winner decide not to come to accept their award?

There are a lot of celebs that just don’t come to Grammys. Maybe Gaga was too busy in London smoking herbs and getting massages from buck-toothed fugly azzed guys? Who gives a S***? I still love here, and though she may lose, WHO GIVES A S***? Thanks, though

    1. The stilettos were 5 inches, 3 I can handle…in my sleep.
    2. Everybody loves my “disco stick” question! I’m going to ask her one day.
